1. Donate Your Goods
Donate goods such as food, clothing, or furnishings.
Many families see life-cycle changes whereby household contents can be relocated to those in great need. At this time, with winter approaching, our clients need sweaters, gloves, hats, and coats. With over 100 clients in need of clean, safe, and affordable housing, there is always the need for chairs, tables, sofas, lamps, and bedding.
LOCATION: Clothing is brought to our Drop-in-Center where it is sorted and distributed immediately to clients. Household goods are distributed directly to clients or are given to another non-profit agency in Chester which stores these items until our clients can request their distribution to their homes. Our Drop-in-Center is located inside the facilities of Catholic Social Services 130 West 7th Street, Chester, PA
TIME OF YEAR: We try to get clothing that meets the needs of the current season.
HOW TO DONATE: Call Nelson Diaz, our outreach worker at 610-724-0806. We are happy to arrange a special pickup for large donations.
2. Financial Donations
The AIDS Care Group is developing an endowment which will help perpetuate services when there are unexpected and steep changes in government funding and grants. In addition, many families like to donate to a specific cause, such as Women’s Health, Vaccinations, Social Service Events, or Housing. Currently, the greatest need for donations is in housing. Capital expenditures for the agency are planned at $500,000 over the next 5 years. You can have a housing unit named after you or a family member for $30,000 per each bedroom of the facility. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
HOW TO DONATE: The agency accepts monetary gifts by way of cash or securities at its main office located at 2304 Edgmont Avenue, Chester, PA. We also have secure online donation processing via PayPal located on the sidebar.
